Established in 1943, Bonfils Blood Center is Colorado’s first and oldest community blood center. Servicing nearly 200 hospitals and healthcare facilities, Bonfils is responsible for the recruitment, manufacturing and distribution of a majority of the state’s blood supply and plays an integral role in Colorado’s healthcare community. Once the needs of the local community are met, Bonfils provides blood products to out-of-state healthcare partners and shares our resources to support disaster preparedness and recovery efforts when called upon including events like the Oklahoma City Bombing, Hurricanes Katrina and Rita and, most recently, the Aurora theater tragedy.

Bonfils offers our hospital partners more than just blood products. We offer personalized care, medical and technical consultation and an accredited immunohematology reference laboratory, rare blood services as well as donor infectious disease and quality control testing that is cost effective and adheres to the highest quality and regulatory compliance standards. Our goal is to provide partners with tools and resources to help you do your job including access to continuing education opportunities, our e-Learning Center, frequently used certificates and forms, a comprehensive Guide to Products and Services and more.

With a rich history, strong foundation and focused mission, Bonfils Blood Center is your trusted partner in healthcare.
